My name is Edward Chen.  I am a Director for the newly formed Wei Family
Private Foundation (WFPF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established
to honor the memory of Dr. (Mrs.) Chung Kwai Lui Wei and Mr. Hsin Hsu Wei.
Its purpose is to award scholarship grants to students of Chinese heritage*
with high academic credentials and are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate
degree in Physics or Mathematics at Oregon State University or an Electrical
Engineering graduate degree at Columbia University.****

I am writing you as Co-Presidents of the CAOSU Board with a request to help
disseminate the following offering to your membership and other students in
the Chinese community at OSU.  The WFPF has $60,000 in scholarship funds
available to be awarded for the 2011–2012 academic year with an additional
$60,000 to be awarded for the coming 2012-2013 academic year.   ****

The scholarship awards are designated for qualified Oregon State University
students of Chinese heritage* in financial need.  Applicants must be
undergraduates (juniors or seniors) or graduate students and *pursuing a
degree in physics or mathematics*.  The scholarships will cover up to 80% of
tuition based on need.  The number of scholarships granted will vary
annually, dependent on the number of qualified applications received and the
amounts granted to each.  ****

community to be aware that the annual WFPF scholarships are available.  We
